Service Cloud · for insurance agencies

Service Cloud for an insurance agency.
€50,050 to €66,625 for the year, priced stage by stage.

This is for an agency that answers certificate requests, policy changes, renewals and quotes from shared inboxes, and keeps its policies in Applied Epic or a similar agency system. Eleven stages, each with its hours and its price, built from a trucking agency that grew from one Salesforce user to 35 on the same service desk.

Every stage has a fixed price on a written scope, like every other price here. Reviewed 24 October 2026.

What changes

What does the agency have at the end?

Every client email is a case with one owner, sorted by type before anybody reads it. Certificates, renewals and policy changes run as steps nobody can skip, and you can see how long each request really took in working hours. In the agency I built this for, the same desk kept up while the agency grew from one Salesforce user to 35 in a year.

You work with me directly, from the first call to the handover: the person who scopes the stages is the person who builds them. Applied Epic stays where it is.

The price

What does Service Cloud cost for an insurance agency?

770 to 1,025 hours for the full service side, €50,050 to €66,625, over about a year. Most of the range is the policy change process and the year of refinements, because both depend on how many billing types and people you have. Salesforce licences are separate and paid to Salesforce.

01

Email to cases, with a spam filter

Every service mailbox becomes queues of cases, auto replies, and spam closed in one click from the first day. In the agency behind the case study a large share of the mail was spam.

80 to 110 h€5,200 to €7,150
02

Clients and counterparties

Carriers with DOT and MC numbers, insurers, underwriters, brokers, finance companies and the client code from your agency system. Data moved in, and every email matched to a client.

66 to 85 h€4,290 to €5,525
03

Policies

Number, carrier, line of coverage, dates, premium and billing type, on the client record.

28 to 35 h€1,820 to €2,275
04

Renewals

Tasks at 90, 60 and 30 days before expiry, with loss runs and MVR requests built in.

33 to 40 h€2,145 to €2,600
05

Certificates and quick requests

Certificate of insurance requests with the holder list, assistant requests and saved replies.

40 to 50 h€2,600 to €3,250
06

Cancellations, claims and filings

Cancellation and reinstatement, claims intake, filings such as BMC-91X and MCS-90, premium audits.

62 to 77 h€4,030 to €5,005
07

Take it, and the request type read from the email

Nobody answers a case they have not taken, and every request type is set from the wording by rules your administrator can edit.

75 to 100 h€4,875 to €6,500
08

Time in working hours

Real handling time without nights, weekends or the time spent waiting for the client.

60 to 80 h€3,900 to €5,200
09

Policy changes, step by step

Endorsements as a staged process with its own tasks, separately for agency bill, fleet and direct bill, and no stage closing while a task is open.

150 to 200 h€9,750 to €13,000
10

Access, a test environment and documentation

Who sees what, a sandbox for changes, and a written description of every field and rule.

27 to 35 h€1,755 to €2,275
11

A year of refinements and support

Reports, new staff, changes the team asks for once it lives in the system.

149 to 213 h€9,685 to €13,845

Total 770 to 1,025 hours, €50,050 to €66,625. Stages can run in a different order if renewals or certificates hurt more than the inbox.

Asked before anything else

Three questions agencies ask first

Q

Why is this more than the Service Cloud base price?

The base, €9,425 for 145 hours, is one service process with email, queues and reports. An agency needs that and its own work around it: policies, renewals, certificates, cancellations, filings and policy changes. Policy changes alone are 150 to 200 hours, because each billing type runs a different sequence.

Q

Can we start with only the first stage?

Yes, and that is the usual start: email to cases with the spam filter, 80 to 110 hours, €5,200 to €7,150, three to five weeks. Every stage ends in something the team uses, so you can stop after any of them and nothing is left half built.

Q

Which Salesforce edition does an agency need?

Service Cloud Enterprise, which Salesforce now sells as Core. Pro Suite allows five flows per org, enough for email and queues and not enough for policies, renewals and policy changes, so starting on Pro means rebuilding later. Start on the free 30 day trial and buy Core.

Outside the price

What is not included?

Four things agencies often expect in a Service Cloud project, and why they are left out of this one.

01

An integration with Applied Epic or your agency system

Epic stays the system of record. Where a step needs it, the task tells your agent what to enter there. An integration can be scoped later, once the service desk works.

02

Telephony, SMS and WhatsApp

Email carries almost all agency service; in the agency behind the case study nearly every request arrived by email.

03

A client portal

Most agencies already have one from their agency system vendor. Building a second is paying twice.

04

Salesforce licences

You buy them from Salesforce directly. Which edition, and why, is below.

How it is paid

How does an agency pay for a year of work?

The first 100 hours are paid before work begins, €6,500. That covers most of the first stage, email to cases, and it is not a month: it is used at the pace the work goes. After that you are invoiced at the end of each month for the hours actually worked, at €65 an hour, with a report of what was done, on which stage and how many hours it took.

Invoices are due within fourteen days. You can pause after any stage: nothing is left half built and nothing is billed while the work is paused. The work runs in your own Salesforce org, documented as it is built.
