Sales Cloud · the licence bill, not the build
Five editions, five prices.
The year is decided elsewhere.
Sales Cloud costs €25 to €550 a seat each month in 2026, across five paid editions on Salesforce’s European list. What a year of licences costs depends on six things the list does not show, and what the first year costs depends on one more: the build. This page puts both on one line.
Checked against the Salesforce European Sales Cloud pricing page and its US counterpart, the Flex Credits rate card and the Main Services Agreement on 27 October 2026. Every list price below is as of October 2026, and Salesforce says its page is for information only and subject to change.
The list, as Salesforce publishes it
How much does Sales Cloud cost per user per year in 2026?
Read on 27 October 2026, the European list runs Starter Suite €25, Pro Suite €100, Core €195, Advanced €395, Max €550, each a seat per month. A year per user is therefore €300, €1,200, €2,340, €4,740 or €6,600. Only Starter can be billed monthly; everything above it is billed annually.
| Starter Suite€25 a month, billed monthly or annually, no Web Services API | €300 a year |
| Pro Suite€100 a month, billed annually, API an extra 25 US dollars a user a month | €1,200 a year |
| Core€195 a month, billed annually, partial sandbox and 500K Flex Credits per org a year | €2,340 a year |
| Advanced€395 a month, billed annually, full sandbox and 1M Flex Credits per org a year | €4,740 a year |
| Max€550 a month, billed annually, Agentforce for Sales and 2.75M Flex Credits per org a year | €6,600 a year |
Two things on that page are easy to miss. The euro figures are the same numbers as the dollar figures on the US page: a European buyer pays the same digits in euros that a US buyer pays in dollars. And the editions are sold as Starter, Pro, Core, Advanced and Max. A price quoted under Professional, Enterprise or Unlimited, the names on earlier lists, is worth checking against this one before it goes into a budget.
What decides the licence bill
What decides the Sales Cloud licence bill?
The list leaves out six things. Three sit in the contract: how many seats are committed, how long the term runs, and when notice is due. Three sit in the product: the one capability that pushes a team up an edition, seat priced extras, and the credits, sandboxes and storage each edition carries. Each moves a real order form away from the list above, usually upwards.
Paid for the seats signed, not the seats in use
Every month of the term bills the seat count on the order form. Under the Main Services Agreement of 15 October 2026, quantities purchased cannot be decreased during the term (section 5.1), while seats added mid term are prorated at the same price (section 3.1). Seats bought for reps not yet hired are paid for, unused, until the renewal date.
The renewal date is not the deadline
Section 11.2 renews the subscription for a further year by default, and a change has to be notified no later than 30 days before the end of the term. Cutting seats or shortening the term at renewal lets Salesforce reprice from scratch rather than from the current seat price, and an introductory discount falls away to list. The date to put in a calendar is the day the notice window closes, not the renewal date.
One feature that forces the edition
Starter has no Web Services API, so any integration that writes through the API rules it out. Pro Suite has the API only at an extra 25 US dollars a user a month, a figure the European page itself states in dollars; on 25 seats that is 7,500 US dollars a year. From Core up the API is included. Check which single capability is pushing the edition before paying for it on every seat.
Add-ons priced per seat
As of October 2026 the European page lists Agentforce for Sales from €125, Sales Programs from €100 and Revenue Intelligence from €220 per user per month. Agentforce for Sales is available for purchase on Core and Advanced and included in Max. Advanced plus that add-on at its starting price is €520 against €550 for Max, so the €30 gap is the real question, not the €155 between the two editions.
Flex Credits, which behave like a budget, not a seat
Core includes 500K Flex Credits per org a year, Advanced 1M and Max 2.75M. On the rate card dated 31 August 2026 an agent action costs 20 credits in production, so Core's allowance covers 25,000 agent actions a year if nothing else draws on it. The same card charges 16 credits an action in a sandbox, and says credits must be used before the order end date with no rollover. Testing an agent spends the allowance too.
Sandboxes, storage and API limits
Starter and Pro list no sandbox in the comparison table. Core includes one partial sandbox and offers a full one only for purchase; Advanced and Max include one full sandbox per org. Data storage is 10GB per org on Starter and Pro, 10GB plus 20MB a user on Core, and 1GB a user on Advanced and Max. A build that needs a full copy for testing should settle this before the order is signed.
Licences plus implementation
What does the first year of Sales Cloud cost, licences and build together?
For 25 users at list price, the first year is €18,810 on Starter, €41,310 on Pro Suite, €69,810 on Core, €129,810 on Advanced and €176,310 on Max. Each total is twelve months of licences plus the €11,310 base build on this site, 174 hours for up to 25 seats and one selling motion.
| Starter Suite€7,500 licences, plus €11,310 build | €18,810 |
| Pro Suite€30,000 licences, plus €11,310 build | €41,310 |
| Core€58,500 licences, plus €11,310 build | €69,810 |
| Advanced€118,500 licences, plus €11,310 build | €129,810 |
| Max€165,000 licences, plus €11,310 build | €176,310 |
The two bills behave differently. Licences are paid to Salesforce, come back every year and rise as the team grows. The build is paid once and ends. On Pro Suite and above the licences are already the larger number in year one; on Starter they pass the build during year two. From year two onwards, the licence line is the whole recurring cost.
What the build line is made of, and the seven decisions that move its hours, is a separate question with its own page: what moves Sales Cloud implementation hours. The 174 hours behind the base price come from a Sales Cloud rebuild I started in August 2026 for a group of oil service companies that already had Salesforce and had stopped using it, because the first implementation was never finished. Licences for a system nobody works in still renew on the same terms. That is the argument for finishing the build before adding seats, not after.
What actually reduces it
Four ways to lower it, three of them before the contract.
A discount is the lever everybody reaches for and the weakest, because it applies to a number the choices below have already fixed.
Count distinct jobs, not people
A rep who lives in the pipeline, a manager who reads dashboards and a finance user who checks amounts are three requirements. A pharmaceutical Sales Cloud build in progress in the Baltics is scoped around 15 to 20 field representatives working on mobile. That is one job. Whoever only reads the regional reports is another, and the seat question should be asked for each. Write down what each seat type does before the order is written.
Get the renewal terms into the order form
Under section 12.3 the order form takes precedence over the agreement. Ask how the renewal price is set and whether it is capped, and get the answer into the order form itself, not a follow up email.
Take the edition decision after the data model
The builder is not neutral here: a higher edition can make the build quicker. Keep the licence decision separate, take it once the data model is written, and require one sentence of reason for each seat type.
Count real use ahead of each renewal
Last login, opportunities touched in the last quarter, and reports opened per user. Three reports in Sales Cloud itself, and they turn a renewal conversation from an opinion into arithmetic.

Questions
What is the Sales Cloud price per user per year?
As of October 2026 the Salesforce European pricing page runs Starter Suite €25, Pro Suite €100, Core €195, Advanced €395 and Max €550 a seat each month, read on 27 October 2026. A seat therefore costs €300 to €6,600 a year, with every edition above Starter billed annually.
Is Agentforce included in Sales Cloud?
Agentforce for Sales is included in Max and available for purchase on Core and Advanced, from €125 per user per month on the European page as of October 2026. Core, Advanced and Max also include 500K, 1M and 2.75M Flex Credits per org a year; an agent action costs 20 credits on the rate card of 31 August 2026.
Can Sales Cloud seats be reduced before renewal?
Not during the term. Under the Main Services Agreement dated 15 October 2026 the seat count can only go up before renewal, and extra seats are charged pro rata at the existing price. The chance to cut comes at renewal, and the notice for it is due 30 days before the term ends unless the order form sets another date.
What does the first year cost with implementation?
Licences for twelve months plus the build. For 25 users at list price that is €41,310 on Pro Suite and €69,810 on Core. Both use the €11,310 base build on this site: 174 hours for up to 25 seats and one selling motion, with training and sixty days after handover included.
The Sales Cloud build here costs €11,310 for 174 hours at base scope, a published figure worked out from the hours. Licence pricing is agreed between you and Salesforce directly; no commission from Salesforce or anyone else sits behind this page.
