Nonprofit Cloud · licences and Agentforce

Ten licences are free.
The agents, the integrations and the build are not.

Partly: through the Power of Us programme an eligible charity gets 10 Nonprofit Cloud Core licences at no cost, and Core includes Fundraising. The purpose-built Agentforce for Nonprofit agents are not in Core; Salesforce lists them only in Sales Max and Service Max, at £228 per user per month billed annually. Below: who qualifies, what each edition includes, and what a UK charity build still had to pay for after the licences arrived.

The short answer

Is Salesforce free for nonprofits?

Partly. Through the Power of Us programme, an eligible charity receives 10 Nonprofit Cloud Core licences at no cost, and Core includes Fundraising, Programme Management and Volunteer Management. Licences beyond ten are discounted rather than free, Premier Success starts with the first paid purchase, and the build, integrations and agents are not part of the donation.

The ten licences are stated on Salesforce’s UK nonprofit pricing page; the rules below come from the Power of Us page and its eligibility guidelines, all read on 31 October 2026.

  1. 01

    Who qualifies in the UK

A registered charity, with its Charity Commission registration number, or in Scotland its OSCR registration, plus its Articles and Memorandum of Association. The executive director or the chair of the board authorises the application, and the charity gives its tax or VAT number so Salesforce can check its status.

  2. 02

A Community Interest Company gets a discount, not a donation

The guidelines list social enterprises, Community Interest Companies, B Corps and non retail co-operatives as eligible for the discount and not for the donated licences. If your organisation is a CIC, budget for every seat from the first one.

  3. 03

    Who is excluded

Hospitals, academic medical centres, health insurers, group or individual health practices, inpatient care facilities, chambers of commerce, business improvement districts and trade associations. Hospital foundations are named as eligible, so the foundation can apply when the hospital cannot.

  4. 04

    How long it takes

Salesforce asks applicants to allow up to three days for the review. Approval arrives by email; you then log in to the Power of Us portal and choose the product. The final decision is at Salesforce’s discretion, and it can ask for documents again later.

  5. 05

What comes with the free seats, and what comes later

Ten Nonprofit Cloud Core licences at no cost. Premier Success is activated when the charity makes its first paid purchase, not before. Licences beyond ten are discounted for eligible nonprofits; the page does not say by how much.

What the Power of Us donation covers: 10 free Nonprofit Cloud Core licences with Fundraising, programmes, volunteers, Agentforce Coworker and 500K Flex Credits a year per org; Agentforce for Nonprofit at £228 per user a month, only in Sales Max and Service Max; and five build items no licence covers: online giving gateway, accounting sync, Gift Aid, programme split per payment and ten seats kept for staff.

The agents

What does Agentforce Nonprofit cost?

Salesforce publishes no separate price for it. On its UK pricing page the purpose-built Agentforce for Nonprofit agents appear only in Sales Max and Service Max, at £228 per user per month on an annual contract. Core, the edition the free licences cover, includes Agentforce Coworker and 500,000 Flex Credits per org a year.

Nonprofit prices per user per month, billed annually, from the UK nonprofit pricing page read on 31 October 2026. The international page lists the same four editions at €70, €125, €285 and €285.

Credits are the part that behaves unlike a seat. The Agentforce pricing page prices an agent action at 20 Flex Credits and further credits at £400 per 100,000. At that rate the 500,000 credits in Core are 25,000 agent actions a year for the whole org, shared with data and other AI use. The nonprofit page names no discount on extra credits.

The name moved too. Salesforce announced Agentforce Nonprofit on 2 December 2025 as the new name of Nonprofit Cloud, with ten free licences through Power of Us; its pricing page in October 2026 still names the editions Nonprofit Cloud. It is one product, so compare quotes edition by edition, not name by name. Before an agent reads your donor data, check the data it will read: seven things an agent exposes.

From a real build

What did a UK charity still have to build or pay for?

Five things the donated licences did not cover. Payment platforms had no native gateway, the accounting sync was a separate integration, Gift Aid had no feature, the programme split on each payment needed flows, and the ten seats had to be kept for staff. None of these is a licence question; each one is build time.

From building fundraising on Nonprofit Cloud for a community charity in the east of England, 10 to 15 staff, in 2026. The whole build is in the charity case study.

  1. 01

Online giving had no native gateway

In this org none of the Salesforce Payments objects were available: no Payment, no Payment Gateway, no Refund, no Invoice. So PayPal, Benevity or a card platform could not plug in as a native gateway. Their money reaches Salesforce by import or by an integration, and either one is build time, not a licence.

  2. 02

The accounting sync was its own project

Every edition lists Accounting Subledger Growth, described as aligning fundraising data with the accounting system. The charity’s link to its accounting package was still a separate custom integration, written and owned by another developer. Our rule was to read his code and never change it, so the two pieces of work could not break each other.

  3. 03

Gift Aid had no feature at all

Nonprofit Cloud has no Gift Aid declaration, eligibility flag or HMRC claim file. A UK charity gets it from an app or a build, and the HMRC rules either one has to meet are in the Gift Aid article.

  4. 04

The programme split on each payment was written by flows

Payments created outside Gift Entry inherited no split across programmes, so programme income read zero with no error. Two record triggered flows now write the split onto every payment; the pattern is in the designations article.

  5. 05

The ten seats were kept for staff

A committee member who only scores applications does not need a licence: on this build they score through a form matched to their record by email. And a frozen user still holds a seat. Salesforce’s help says freezing does not make the licence available; only deactivating the user does.

Questions

  • Q

Is Agentforce included in the free licences?

Partly. Core, the edition the ten free licences cover, includes Agentforce Coworker and 500,000 Flex Credits per org a year for AI, Agentforce and data use. The purpose-built Agentforce for Nonprofit agents are listed only in the Sales Max and Service Max editions.

  • Q

Can a Community Interest Company get the ten free licences?

No. The Power of Us eligibility guidelines give social enterprises, Community Interest Companies, B Corps and non retail co-operatives a discount but no donation. A registered charity applies with its Charity Commission number, or its OSCR number in Scotland.

  • Q

What does an eleventh user cost?

Salesforce says additional licences are discounted for eligible nonprofits, and its nonprofit pricing page lists Core at £50 and Advanced at £100 per user per month, billed annually. Premier Success is activated with the first paid purchase.

Fundraising essentials is €4,550 for 70 hours on the ten licences Salesforce donates, and it includes help applying for them.
